Last month the team at Strata traveled to Valencia to spend some time together and discuss new plans and activities. As an international company, most of our team members live in different countries, so we thought it was time for the whole team to get together and share some ideas and perspectives.

We drew some very interesting conclusions, but an important motto that appeared was “remember to be emotional”. Technology keeps developing, the society keeps changing and, more and more, innovations are having a direct impact on our everyday life and work. Yet we will always be humans, and that means we will always have feelings. No matter how much it develops, AI will never be emotional, but we will.

Especially in the consultancy sector, emotional implication plays a crucial role because it’s all about people. All our clients, entrepreneurs, researchers and founders have a story behind, and when pursuing new goals and projects, motivation is crucial. Emotions are and will be the key enabler that will let us strive to achieve that goal. Working in motivated teams makes projects more meaningful for all of us.

This team meeting has also been a unique opportunity to plan new activities for the next year, to learn a bit more about each other and to enjoy a very valuable time together. Activities and events like this one help us to break the routine and think out-of-the-box, to go beyond our daily work and reach deeper conclusions about our mid- and long-term goals. It’s easy to get caught up in the deliverables and deadlines, but it is important to keep the focus on the people.

And remember: be emotional!
